On February 4, 2020, U.S. President Donald Trump delivered his third State of the Union Address. Delivered at the beginning of each calendar year in office to a joint session of U.S. Congress, the State of the Union Address allows the President to propose national priorities and policy directions of his
administration and call for Congress to pass legislations. As domestic and foreign policy directions of the year are unveiled in the President’s own words, the annual messages draw global attention. The theme of this year's address was“ great American comeback,” and President Trump claimed credit for his administration's
accomplishments, such as creating jobs, low unemployment rates, a phase one trade deal with China, and so on. This shows that Trump will ramp up efforts at his reelection bid.
