  • 1971~75년 중 Kamal El Assad 레바논 국회의장의 방한을 추진함.

1. 주베이루트통상대표부가 1971.5월 Kamal El Assad 레바논 국회의장 일행의 방한 초청을 건의하였으나, 국회의 예산 사정으로 진전되지 못함.

2. 주베이루트통상대표부는 1972.2월 Kamal El Assad 국회의장 일행의 방한 초청을 재차 건의함.

3. 국회가 1972.5월 백두진 국회의장 명의의 방한 초청장을 주베이루트통상대표부를 통하여 레바논 측에 전달하였으나, 10.17. 제8대 국회가 해산됨으로써 Kamal El Assad 국회의장 일행의 방한 초청계획이 중단됨.

4. 국회가 1973.6월 정일권 신임 국회의장 명의 방한 초청장을 주베이루트통상대표부를 통하여 레바논 측에 전달함.
• 이에 대해 레바논 측이 11월 방한 의사를 표명하고, 국회도 11월초 방한 접수가 가능하다는 입장을 레바논 측에 전달하였으나 진전되지 못함. 

5. 주베이루트통상대표부는 1974.1월 Kamal El Assad 국회의장 일행의 방한이 6월 이후에나 가능하다고 외무부에 보고함.

6. 주베이루트통상대표부는 1974.3월 레바논 국내사정으로 인하여 Kamal El Assad 국회의장 일행의 방한시기를 확정하기 곤란하다고 외무부에 보고함.
