• ‌주가나대사는 1984.3.19. 가나 언론계에 대한 북한의 침투를 저지하고 친한 언론인 확보를 위해 Sam Clegg ‘People’s Daily Graphic’지 주필 대리의 방한 초청을 건의함.
- ‌5.21. Clegg 씨는 주필로 승진
• ‌9월 Clegg 주필은 84년 연내 방한이 어려워 1985.4월경 방한을 희망하였으며, 주가나대사는 동인 대신에 
최근 방한 초청을 건의한 ‘Voice’지의 Dan Ansah 주필의 방한 초청을 건의하여 10월 방한함.
• ‌주가나대사는 1985.4.15. Clegg 주필이 5월경 방한을 희망한다고 하고 동인 방한 초청을 다시 건의함.
- ‌동인은 외국인 새마을 연수과정에도 참가 희망
