  • 정부는 1972.7.4. Yves Anglade 주Port au Prince 명예총영사를 임명함.

1. 주멕시코대사의 관련 건의
•겸임국 중 명예총영사 임명이 긴요한 아이티 정부 요로에 후보자 추천을 요청, 아이티 대통령 
측근인 Cineas 공보장관이 추천을 받음.
•1972.6월초 신임장 제정차 출장 시 동인을 직접 면담, 적임자로 판단함.

2. 외무부 본부의 추가 고려사항
•아이티는 카리브 해역 해운의 요충으로 겸임국인 멕시코와 원거리에 위치하여 그간 신속한 정세파악 등 공관 활동에 불편이 제기됨.
•명예총영사 임명으로 한국과의 경제, 통상, 문화 및 인사 교류 촉진, 유대 강화가 예상됨.

3. 동 총영사는 임명 선서를 위하여 1972.10.19.~21. 방한하여 윤석헌 외무차관을 예방함.
