bibo:abstract	1. 본 문건은 1956~60년간 미국 및 캐나다 등 해외인사들이 대통령 앞으로 서한을 송부, 6·25전쟁으로 부모를 잃은 고아들을 입양하고 싶다는 청원을 해온 데 대해 대통령비서실의 담당 비서관이 보건사 회부에 입양 알선 조치를 취하도록 서한을 이송한 후 동 결과를 청원인에게 알려주거나, 또는 보건사 회부가 입양 요청인에게 입양절차 등에 관해 안내한 답신, 해외입양에 따른 수속절차와 관련된 자료 등이 수록되어 있음 2. 또한, 본 문건에는 Holt Adoption Program, Children’s Fund 등 해외의 입양기관이 대통령에게 송부한 서신 및 이에 대한 대통령비서실의 답신, 그 밖에 해외 유력인사들이 한국전쟁 고아의 입양과 관련하 여 대통령 앞으로 송부한 서한 및 이에 대한 대통령비서실의 답신 등도 첨부되어 있음
